Just landed in SFO, and my bag came out, it was about the tenth to arrive with all the other priority bags.

When I landed in SIN (on TG from BKK) there was a TG rep waiting for me, and they had indeed received a note from MAA about the bag. She assured me that the bag would be retagged to SFO and neither I nor UA would have to do anything the next morning.

Checked in at UA at the transfer desk at 4:30am, and there was no record of my bag anywhere. UA agent gave me two blue stickers and told me to check at the gate, and if the bag had been found and indeed retagged by TG, then no worries, but if not, then they'd take the blue stickers and find the bag. He was not concerned - I was! Reached the gate, the lady took the stickers and said "we'll find your bag and put these on, don't worry" - I had no idea what was really happening, but I opted not to bother worrying and it paid off.

Of course, I then realised about 2 hours after arrival, that my iPad was sitting next to hemispheres and the duty free catalog in my seat. Called the 1K line, they called the airport -- no iPad had been found. I insisted politely that if possible, could they please go and check carefully in the magazine slot at my seat - they did, and fortunately it was still there. Good thing I realised before the planetook off for Narita or wherever it was going next!
