If you dislike 8H so much, did you at least request one of the 15-20 empty seats?
I find it hard to believe that a FAM would take 9B, because if 8B is fully reclined, it's very difficult to get out of that seat. On the XC/XI, Row 9 has the worst C seats on the plane for that reason.
