Short trip report: JFK-SFO (DL 127) on 2/12 - BusinessElite US

Background
My upgrade cleared at the gate even as a Gold Medallion on a T fare. On this flight, no medallion members were left behind in Y and we departed with all BE seats taken.

Menu
Warm nuts

Some odd extremely fattening appetizer I couldn't identify

Filet of Beef
or
Chicken Parmesan
or
Pasta Shells

Vanilla ice cream with choice of toppings
or
Fruit and cheese plate

Prior to arrival
One small freshly-baked chocolate chip cookie

*Note: No actual menus were distributed.

Amenities
The standard BE duvet and pillow were provided.

Crew
Outstanding crew, by far the best I have had on a US airline out of JFK. They were extremely efficient, polite, and clearly loved their jobs. Nothing was ever too much trouble for them. I will definitely write to Delta about this truly A+ crew.

Verdict
Delta continues to be the stepchild on the premium transcontinental market. While both the hard and soft products have been enhanced, they are still behind AA and UA's p.s. Catering in particular still needs improvement, for the quality of the entrees was not very high and even the ice cream tasted cheap.
