I was working in Dakar, Senegal back in the mid to late 70's when AF regularly flew the Concorde from CDG to GIG with a refueling stop at DKR. While on the ground in DKR, all passengers would deplane while the aircraft was quickly serviced. I had some connections with the ground crew personnel at AF and they arranged for me to have a quick tour, including a walk through of the cabin and a peek into the cockpit. I remember how small the interior seemed; it would not have been easy to get up, stretch and walk around much. But I also seem to recall a menu that would indicate much of the flight was spent enjoying meal service complete with all beverages imaginable.

I also remember being able to clearly hear the Concorde take off from the airport at Yoff all the way from downtown Dakar, a distance of some 10 miles, without ever seeing the departing airplane. In fact the reason AF flew the route was that neither JFK nor IAD had given permission for the plane to land at either US airport due to noise concerns. I believe once the okay was given, AF abandoned the PAR-RIO route for the more profitable trans-Atlantic service.
