Same as LAX above, I did this for almost half my flights in 2010 but I always waited until checkin to change to my UA MP# and never had a problem. I would disagree that this is gaming the system since technically both MP and OP have the ability to put 2 different numbers on your record, one for mileage and one for benefits, its just that almost no one in either program knows how to do this.
