I will complete a Master of Urban Planning degree from a Top 10 program in early May. Prior to this master's program I gained four years of experience as a project manager.

I am relocating to the Washington, DC area immediately following graduation. I'm looking for a position (temp and internship opportunities also considered) in transportation planning, economic development planning, or consulting for local, state or federal government. I can begin anytime after May 1, 2011. Willing to travel up to 50%.

Relevant skills: ArcGIS, spatial mapping, strong familiarity with federal transportation policy and funding (SAFETEA-LU, TE, Safe Routes to School), modal split, location quotients, shift-share analysis, other quantitative research methods.

Additional skills: SPSS, multivariate regression, SAP and budget management, general accounting principles, foundation relations and grant writing, social media marketing, Drupal and WordPress CMS, HTML.
