Have any FTers recently stayed at any hostels in Paris that they would recommend? I've been lurking on TripAdvisor, Priceline and Hostels.com for the last 4hours but I decided since this is such a great community I could get a better idea from someone here.

This is my first time to Paris and of course I want to do the touristy things. I'm a single male, so I'll be traveling alone and don't particularly care for a flashy hotel as I plan to be outside most of the day (taking pictures ^).

If someone knows of a conveniently located cheap hotel ^ even better!

I am, however, Marriott Gold and SPG Gold if anyone is wondering.

Normally I'm that guy that wants to stay at a Ritz, Four Seasons, or Fairmonts but I like to set the bar low at times and breeze. I also don't think for the 2 days that I'm here it would be worth dumping $400 USD for 2 nights, as mentioned above. I plan to see as much as I can since the next time I come back it'll be with a friend and I'd drop the cash for a good hotel then.

Edit Add - In case anyone is wondering I'll be flying into Paris Friday night March 18th, Check in March 19 and checkout March 21st
