I would buy a ticket on an airline that can get you there in 1 day. The hotel costs in Portland/Seattle add a good amount to the ticket and you only lose days in Hawaii. Save the hotel and buy E+ on United and get there in 1 day. Or get AS miles by flying DL or AA.
