Iīve been Gold for many years but since Sheraton Club became Starwood Prefered Guest I canīt see any advantage of beeing a Gold member.

I always stay at the expensive properities at high rates (U.S., Asia, Middle East) but I have never ever received an upgrade not even to a better room within the booked category.

When I book a junior suite, I will receive exactly the suite I booked. When I book an executive floor room, I receive a room on the executive floor but with a bad view. When I book a standard/deluxe room I get the lousiest room in the hotel.

What have I done wrong ? Any experiences like that ???
