Imperfect JL First lounge access for new AA HND flight
Well, it looks like lounge access for the new HND flight is not great.
There are two lounges -- JAL business class and JAL first class -- connected by a common reception.
Both are closed overnight and open at 6 a.m., which means there is not much point in stopping by for a flight that leaves at 6:40.
One World "emeralds" (AA executive plats) have special reason to be unhappy with the situation. The lounge agents have been told that -- despite One World rules to the contrary, rules posted on JAL's own Haneda website -- AA emeralds are not allowed into the first class lounge. The business lounge is adequate but usually very full.
Does One World allow any other exception to the "emerald" lounge rules?
