I was coming back from Nairobi five years ago - WT - and as we descended at LHR I had to get up and dash. I ran to the loo and cabin crew told me to stay there until we had touched down which I did! The descent appeared to bring on appalling cramps coupled with African food poisoning. I'm afraid it was a no choice thing regardless of safety. I would not wish it for anyone.
