Question Moral Dilemma of Sorts- Cashier Messed Up Tab, Mistakenly Gave Me Half Off

A few weeks ago I was in Taipei with my wife. We dined out at one of the sushi conveyor belt places. Quick 101 for those who don't know- it's an all you can eat kind of affair, can order off menu for dishes and in the end you pay for what you eat (to close out your tab, one of the waitstaffs comes by your station to confirm how many plates your party has consumed).

I usually keep a running tally of how much I've at, because it's numbers and simple arithmetic, I guess it's just something ingrained into my thought process and such. When we were done, I handed my wife her purse to pay for the bill while I drove the car around to pick her up. My tally was about ~1100 NTD (about $38 USD). She paid, I picked her up, we got out of there.

On the plane back, I was doing my expense report when this receipt came up. The receipt showed ~600 NTD! (about $20 USD) I asked my wife what happened? She of course, had no idea what I was talking about. She's definitely the opposite of me, doesn't keep a tally of the bill and pretty much just expects me to pay It turns out, the cashier left out the difference by accident, since I remembered about 6 or 7 sushi dishes that added up to the difference. I won't be in Taipei for a while but if I lived there I would've gone back to let the cashier know she made an error. It would be kind of awkard to show up say, 6 months later to point out an error made way back when IMO.

What are your thoughts when this happens? Cashier's fault? Would you go back to point the error out? Or would you leave thinking, "Nice I got a discount"?
