I have 100,000 American Airlines FF Miles & 77,000 Delta miles. Will probably be flying to Beijing from Cincinnati OH in July of 2011 with my 10-year-old son to pick up my fiance and her daughter. So I will be buying 2 tickets going out and 4 coming back.

Last year I tried to use my Delta tickets to fly to Wuhan China, but was told that I needed 175,000 FF miles to get from Cincinnati to Wuhan on Delta. As everyone probably knows, Cincinnati has some of the highest airfares in the U.S. and Delta's fares are particularly bad. Don't know if the extra leg to Wuhan cost me a lot of miles. Theoretically 75,000 miles is supposed to be enough to get to China, but it didn't work out that way. Because of Delta's high fares, my supposition is that American may be the best way to fly to China, but am not sure.

Anyway I am looking for a strategy to use my miles to get from Cincinnati to Beijing, realizing that my ff miles will probably only pay for 1 ticket, if that. If anyone has suggestions as to how to use the FF miles, they will be appreciated. Thanks,
