But 20+ hours (even between 2 people) is a really, really, really, long time for a lap baby. While you don't ask... IMhO, it would be FAR more comfortable to have 3 Y tickets, and take and ABC or HJK seats... 22 month old can be in the middle, if you raise the armrests, you get better seat width, and if you are in E+ you get as much legroom as domestic F.
I've been there (well not NRT) but everyone (including little_1780) was much more comfotable in his own seat.
YMMV.
thanks for your opinion. I dont think it applies to us
My child won't sit in his own seat. We've bought them before for shorter flights, but he just prefers being held. He is a snugglier, so we are hoping that with the lie flat beds he will snuggle. And, it's between four people (Grandma and Grandpa). And, loads are looking light for our flight right now....
But, back to the question at hand: our TA requested an infant meal. Is that just a farce or?

edit:
Nevermind I think I found the info
Children's meals are available for children who are 18 months or older and who occupy a seat. The meals contain soft, easy-to-chew foods and may include finger foods.
