Looking to book 2 flights on united. It shows "first class" when doing this.

- would it be better just to fly business on ac for 80k instead of 120k?

There is no such thing. That is Aeroplan's IT department playing with you. If you call in and pay the fee, then you can get onto UA for 80k r/t. Whether that's worthwhile is questionable, but at least you don't pay the fuel surcharge.
