Seems like every time I hope for an empty seat next to me, someone ends up there (even if the flight looks empty). My suggestion, keep your HJ. If something looks open after the flight is boarded move there before someone else does. Personally I cringe thinking about ending up in that middle section, unless I have it all to myself.
