Internet Down for the Whole Stay at a Hilton Garden Inn
I recently completed a one night stay at a HGI where the internet (wired and wireless) was down for the entire time of my stay. At check-in they did not inform me about the internet problem....and only informed me when I called the front desk to inform the that I was not able to get connected. They informed me that wired internet access was available on the computers in at the business center.
I was planning on doing work in the evening on the internet...but was not able to do so. I did not want to use the business center computers because: 1) Did not want to "hog" the computers for several hours; and 2) Documents which I would be using were on my laptop.
The situation got so bad....at checkout, they could not get into their computer system and asked for e-mail addresses so they could e-mail the final folio to you.
Has anyone elso encountered a similar problem? If so...did you request an adjustment in the room rate or bonus HHonors points....or should I just forget about it an move on. I think using the HGI 100% Guarantee is too excessive of a request....so I'm interested how others have handled the same situtation.
