In my limited experience at airports with the machines, if the MSM hadn't told me of the outrage, I wouldn't have known it existed. People went about their business going through the scans without hyperventilating.
I'm not editorializing on the merits of the body scans, mind you, just the perceived reaction towards them from the public.
