Did I over-react? (taxi trip)

I live about 5 blocks off the LIE, so usually when I arrive home at LGA, I just tell the taxi driver - "Exit 29 on the LIE" - and I guide him the rest of the way when we exit.

Sometimes the taxi driver asks if its Long Island or Queens, since they charge more for LI.
I tell them its Queens (because it is)

Tonight, I got in the cab and gave the usual directions.
He asks if its Queens or LI, I say Queens.

Then he takes out a GPS and says - Give me your address.

That bothered me, I dont want to just give out my address to the guy (I know, he can SEE my address when he drops me off)
I told him I didnt want to give him my address.
He said he wanted to check if its queens or LI.
He kept pushing for me to tell him my address, I refused.

I said - you are doing all this over .50? (the extra surcharge I believe)
So I was pretty upset with the guy.

What do you think?
