A SEA-based friend of mine attended and provided me the following notes:


* .Sat next to the Manager of the Email Notifications Office (ALL email we get from Alaska)
* .New Flight Attendant Uniforms were modeled, start this coming Wednesday (all at the same time)
* .New First Class Food and Coach is starting very soon, maybe next week, upgrading both and increasing the options
* .There were 250 invitations sent out for this lunch (Halibut, salad, dessert)
* .There were 4 - one million milers in attendance. .About 10% of the Group were us 75K people
* .In the last 13 months, Alaska has had the best on time performance in company history
* .The paper upgrade certificates issued to Golds and MVPs will now be issued electronically
* .They are working on upgrade information for us so the process is better known and we will know much sooner our upgrade status from purchase to flight.
* .They are almost done doing all the work with partner airlines, upgrades are much more available on Delta, not so much on American. .But free bags available on both, along with priority boarding
* .They are having GREAT success with new partners Icelandair and Kenmore. .With Kenmore, this summer, we will be able to fly to the San Juan's for just 5000 miles.
* .New DIGI Players will be out very soon. .Bigger, better screens, longer battery life, and best of all, WIFI capable. .You can stream NETFLIX video using your account
* .New Website design very soon, a better shopping path where you can purchase Hotel and Car. .They have great prices for hotels and cars, competitive with Expedia and other companies, they encouraged us to compare
* .A lot of discussion on Mobile Apps. .A lot of new things coming very soon starting with the iPhone. .When they get that working well, they will move to the Droids. .Things will include upgrade lists for each flight, you can purchase an upgrade on your way to the airport. .They will send you message when to get to the gate right down to the last detail so you can stay in the Board Room, restaurant, or wherever longer. .They will tell you when to be there for Priority Boarding, MVP Gold/First Class, and Coach. .They will have airport maps, including partner lounge location, i.e. where is Delta Crown Room. .They are working on some business APPS and other stuff for the iPad since so many people are using them now.
* .No new cities in the near future for Alaska, but they will increase frequency and capacity to LAX and many Mexico locations where they are doing very well they said. .Not just from Seattle, but from SFO, LAX, and SAN. .They are very happy with their St. Louis flights so far. .They are doing so well with their Hawaii market, they are adding flights from SFO and SAN to Hawaii.
* .They ordered 15 new 737-900s, will look to increase business and vacation routes once they have the aircraft
* .Horizon is getting rid of all the jets, going to prop only fleet, painting all the planes like Alaska planes.
