And lastly, I posted about this on the SPG main thread but I will throw it out there here as well; how is this hotel at dealing with very high/full capacity? Two of our nights here will be while the hotel is absolutely booked solid.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks
What Lurker said...

As for "fun" places on premises with kids, we found the poolside eats very good and relatively inexpensive (as in, we didn't feel as gouged as we usually do at most resorts).

There's also an ice cream, dessert shop off the lobby. And don't forget the lounge upstairs. When our kids got too whiney for the restaurant, we just plopped our kids in front of the big screen to nibble on cheese and fruit and the like, while we had a beverage.

Also, there is a shuttle, I think it's even free, that picks up at the front door and runs back and forth to Hollywood on a regular basis. About 15-20 minutes max, and kind of fun for the kids. TONS of shops, restaurants, etc... especially along the boardwalk.

We even walked back with our 2 year-old twins (actually, for some reason, our son 'ran', a la Forrest Gump, that that's another story...) But it was a looooong walk (for the kids, and even us). We bought some collapsable strollers for that purpose.

Speaking of which, we bought them at the Walmart near where Lurkers suggests you shop. We also bought pull-ups/diapers & juice/water/pop/snacks there, rather than try to bring it in our bags. Tons of box stores. Might be a tad far to walk, unless you really like the exercise.

But not more than a $5-10 taxi each way.

Cheers,
