But it does sound shady, that it sounds like he wants to get all your possible points, even though you are the one traveling and staying in the room.

I agree with the others. Update the HHonors number on check-in to keep the points in your name. Well. . . Until the Boss figures it out and heckles you about it, or until you find a new job with a more fair travel and reimbursement policy.
As said above, if the room is "master billed", or being paid for by a thrid party, then no points should be awarded to anyone.

However, the person staying in the room can still get stay credit and elite benefits (I think). So make sure and change the HHH number to yours when checking in. ( the bosses number should not be there anyway for any reason since they are not staying in the room). That way you at least get stay credit and credit towards elite status. Your boss may be getting some type of reward from the credit card being used, but not from the actual hotel (or shouldn't be).
