If the Boss is actually paying for the room, then yes, he should get the points.

However, MOST companies that I heard of let you pay for the room, earn points, and they reimburse you for the cost of the room.


But it does sound shady, that it sounds like he wants to get all your possible points, even though you are the one traveling and staying in the room.

I agree with the others. Update the HHonors number on check-in to keep the points in your name. Well. . . Until the Boss figures it out and heckles you about it, or until you find a new job with a more fair travel and reimbursement policy.
