Yes, there have been mainline reductions. Memphis has been since the delivery of the CR2s for NW a very heavy CR2 city. The reason MEM is experiencing mainline cuts is because there is no longer the smaller DC9s... only the 50s. You also must remember that the E75 and CR9 are the equivalent of the DC-9-10 (DC9 had 78 seats, the others have 76). I remember that we used to have a lot of DC9-10s (pre 2005).

Some routes didn't even need that. I used to fly DC-9-10s between IAH and MEM all the time and it was always half empty.

However I am disappointed about what DL has done with LIT's flights [PMNW: MEM=(1x E75, 1x D94, 1x D95),DTW=(2x A32x), MSP=(2xCR2)], [PMDL: CVG=(2x E45), ATL=(3xCR7, 2xCr2, 1xCR9, 2xM88), [New DL: MEM=(2x CR2, 1x D95), DTW=(1x CR2), ATL=(6x CR2, 1x CR9, 1x M88)].
