I'm a big fan of that link, by the way. I was trying to explain the whole qualification period/membership period difference to a family member who doesn't have any inkling of airline status programs. That link with the two simple graphics provided the "ah ha!" moment that I struggled with for 5 minutes!
I've tried using that for some friends and they still don't seem to get it. I can't understand why though, it is pretty simple when you just boil it down to the necessities.
