For an upcoming flight for me and my wife, I decided to use 2 e-certificates tht we have. The rules for booking with the e-certificates were such that I could not put us on the same reservation, but rather had to use 2 unique reservations. I'm Premeir Executive and my wife is not. The last time we travelled together like this with a separate itinerary/PNR numbers, I was automatically upgraded and my wife wasn't. I guess that since I had been upgraded, United then gave away my Coach seat next to my wife, which I couldn't get back upon check in. Needless to say, this didn't go over very well. So, the question is, is there anyway I can add her to my itinerary or PNR? Pretty ironic since we actually earned the e-certificates when flying together on the same reservation for a flight that had issues and prompted UNTD to give the ecertificates to everyone on board.
