On an etiquette note. Currently at Grosvenor House. Booze is free. Watched one couple suck down almost 2 bottles by themselves. Shrug - it's out there. What I thought was a bit tacky was them bringing in the 'doggie bag' from their off-site French restaurant dinner the evening before & ask the lounge attendent if she would heat it up in the lounge kitchen for them (answer was they were unable to do so). Hubby came back later & asked for silverware, so guess the Mrs. decided to eat it cold in the hotel room.

GH did a cool thing yest. It was Valentine's Day, so each person in the exec lounge received a free glass of champagne if they so wished. There were a couple of folk who turned it down - I was tempted to say take it, I'll drink it

I miss them offering champagne in the exec lounge as a regular offering like in the past (oh yeah, just last year), but understand why they dropped it. I'd pay for it actually, but can see how that wouldn't work logistically w/ the other stuff being free.

Cheers.
