We flew exactly this route on this aircraft. We paid for exit row seats (19 H&K) and confirm they would have been worth it had the IFE been working! On the particular 767-300 we flew on there was considerably more legroom in the exit row than the bulkhead. There were two rows of exit seats and the first were certainly limited in legroom but they are not the 'preferred' or paid seats. The second (and only paid) row were good. The bulkhead was nothing special - only you have the peace of mind of knowing no idiot is going to suddenly recline into you and you get off the aircraft sooner.
N.B. - Seat Guru is full of warnings about cold temperatures around the exit seats. From some of the descriptions it sounds like an Arctic expedition but I found those comments extremely overdone and that in fact it was nice and fresh - but then I usually find aircraft uncomfortably warm.
We're booked back on this flight from ZRH-YYZ at the end of May when it is still a 767-300, but for the return leg in early June they are running an A330.
