My moral compass:
- Failing to sign the chit in the honor bar: wrong, period, no excuses.
- Pouring a stiff drink at the honor bar, I mean a *really* stiff drink: Mmmm, okay, I probably wouldn't get too carried away but as long as you sign the chit and don't get stupid, it's fine.
- Using private corporate codes that you aren't entitled to: wrong. In the hotel space, it's simply a moral issue. In the rental car space, it could become a legal one if you wreck the car as the real value in those corp codes is the insurance.
- Book 2 rooms and using 1 or booking 2 nights and sleeping 1: 100% fair game as it's been described here. No deception or trickery is used to buy the product: it's simply that you don't use it all. I've done it before for EQN purposes and recently to acquire or use bonus bucks. Logical when room rates are below $100 or whatever.
