It's funny that Marriott's elimination of government contractor eligibility was part of its overall reorganization of its standards for application of the government rate a few years ago, that was designed to ensure that when Marriott properties offered a government rate, it was to be pegged to the local per diem. The part about eliminatiing the government contractors stuck. The part about ensuring government rates were pegged to local per diem didn't.
