Off topic but when I queried TMO CS re how android works overseas [as compared to BB and the international unlmtd email plan], they told me that android phones are always updating this or that via OTA and so when overseas, would be downloading data. Which means of course: $$$$.

Can someone verify if this is true...one of the reasons I'm reluctant to try Android is inability to turn off data and roaming?
