If you take the train, the machine that sells the bus tickets also sells bus+train tickets. You can check the schedules and fares or buy the ticket at http://www.b-rail.be/main/E/ ... I checked for trains this week and I think that maybe you won't be able to make the last connection in Brussels to the airport, you should check out the shuttle and see what will fit best.

Just in case, I was there on Saturday and the price of the shuttle bus to Charleroi Sud station has gone up to €3.
