Fukuoka to anywhere is the expensive part.

Have you tried Canadian travel consolidators? IACE for example? HIS CANADA or JTB CANADA has some great deals. (I know you hate HIS)

When we travel between Vancouver and Osaka. The cheap part is the Vancouver to Narita. (+-$650 CAD, all in one way) Lots of deals going around however the connections get expensive.
