Speed of miles transfer from SPG to Emirates
I have a flight in about a week (assuming there's space) on Emirates from JFK to KUL.

I'm thinking of trying to upgrade to business class on the JFK-DXB leg, which is 14 hours long.

However, that requires about 57,000 miles, which I don't have in my Skywards account, so I'd have to move some from Starwood.

Has anyone done this, and if so, how long does it take? Can I move two batches of 20,000 (for 50,000 miles on Skywards) at the same time? Even if I do so, do I have a reasonable chance of being able to get the upgrade?
