Pre departure
Was check in quick and efficient? Yes. though I first came from Ottawa. When I got to YYZ, I realized I had been give 2 boarding passes to the YOW-YYZ flioght and none to the YYZ-SFO flight. A quick call to the Concierge solved the problem and a new BP was delivered in minutes.
Did you use priority security (if eligible) and if so, was it quick and efficient? Yes- but it was very busy.
Did you use the Maple Leaf lounge and if so, any feedback in regards to service, food and drinks? Yes- it was busy wehn I first got in- not enough seats- clear out after about 45 minutes.
Was priority boarding offered (if applicable to your status) and efficient? Yes, and efficient
If there was a delay, did the gate agent provide timely updates? There was a delay- GA did provide updates.
Onboard - J cabin:
Were the crew professional & well groomed? Yes
If there was a delay, were you provided with timely updates? Yes. Further delayed at the gate- then deicing- total 1hr 45min delay. Updates were given.
Was the IFE activated on the ground? Yes
Was a pre-departure beverage offered on the ground? Yes.
Did crew offer to hang your jacket? Yes.
Were newspapers & menus distributed and meal orders taken (Please specify when meal orders were taken - on the ground or in the air)? Newspapers and menus handed out on the ground. Meal orders were taken on the ground by status.
Did crew offer a hot towel prior to the meal service? Yes
Approximately how long after take off did it take for the first meal service to be completed? (From takeoff to all items collected) Just over 1 hourHow was the quality of all the meals? Food was good- salad was fresh.Did the cabin crew continuously top up the beverage of your choice throughout the flight? Yes, SD Robert mixed well with J clients- he was very attentive and wanted to ensure we were all comfortable.
Post departure
If you have checked baggage, did it arrive within reasonable period of time? Yes. No problem there.
Overall experience/any other comments: We had very good service- with the extra delay on the ground, and then waiting for quite a while at the de-icing bay, SD Robert came around with drinks while waiting for de-icing.
He is a very good SD- he love AC and his positive attitude is infectious. He engaged with us and took extra time to talk to us.He clearly cares about the customers on board and genuinely wanted all of us to leave with a positive impression of AC--I was defintely impressed!!
