Hi, I have never bothered considering status with respect to car rental.

I rent from one location about 10 months per year ( i actually usually use the car for 2-3 weeks per rental but the monthly rate is cheaper than taking the weekly rate). I rent from Hertz at a monthly "business rate" and the Hertz reps tell me that with such rates that i cannot enter any Hertz Gold numbers into my reservation. Is this true?

What am i missing out on?

I am pretty knowledgeable about my hotel and airline statuses but i never really considered improving my life in the car rental "zone".

Any tips would be much appreciated.
