Hi DG73 and welcome to the board.
If the option is between First class and business, you should fly F, especially if the turnaround is Bangkok. You would be aware of the legendary LH first class lounge, it's time to try the Thai version. The B747 is a good flight, if it is your first flight up front, you will find Thai's food and wine presentation is exciting. The on ground service with seperate lounges checkins spas and buggies, will impress you, enjoy
