6 months does seem like a long time, but if you were communicating with them the whole time, it seems odd they denied your reimbursement. Actually surprised your credit card insurance was so accomidating so long after the claim (usually disputs are only allowed 60 days after purchase/billing cycle).
Yeah, I was thankful that they were so nice. That said, of course in my claim through Aerogold I carefully explained all my dealings with AC, including their letter.

AC's answer was a real disappointment: for 6 months these people were telling me that they were tracing my baggage, and then they suddenly they tell me that they didn't have the means to (which of course is a lie, as they usually find baggage without a claim in between).
