Slightly off topic but related - does anyone get annoyed with the placement of these bins?
I recently stayed at the Hilton Adelaide and the in-room bin apparently went with the desk. The desk was actually a table that faced the window with a lovely view. But "they" decided to put the chair on the other side of the table so that that the person using the desk would face the door rather than the view. Consequently the bin was placed way over to the side underneath the desk where it was basically only accessible if you want all the way around the desk and sat in the chair.
So every night I moved the chair around to face the view and moved the bin to a location under the desk where I could reach the bin from many directions. I'm left handed so that also conveniently put the phone on the left for me. Then every time they made up the room (I was there 4 days) they moved the chair and bin back to their original positions. Kind of drove me crazy moving the furniture and bin around every day. Especially because I mostly use the bin for things unrelated to the desk. E.g. candy wrappers, medicine wrappers, gum wrappers, random stuff. At the desk I'm only typing on the computer and not using the bin. Seems like hotels often locate the bins in odd places that you can not reach from much of the room.
