As a former RI manager, sometimes we had no choice but walking elites. If we had high percentages of extended stay occupancy, sometimes we only had one or two arrivals and no rooms available to put anyone in. We had a lot of group rooms that were with us for months at a time and often their check out dates changed. FYI, anyone looking for a walk is more likely to get it at a Residence Inn or Homewood Suites.
