I love Hertz, but for my trip to CR I did some reading and found out that the CR Hertz was notorious for overcharging on insurance.

I rented from Avis, got a cheap price and was told about all the insurance details.

In fact when I was picking up the car, They asked me if my Credit Card would cover the car and if so they would only have to charge me the local insurance requirement not the full rate.

Can't say enough good things about Avis in CR.

Should add that I think Avis in US is mediocre and inconsistent, so I always use Hertz here.
