I have been using my Skypesos to book hotel rooms. 10K miles got me a hotel room at the Montreal ALoft (saved me $139 + tax), and 136K got me an all-inclusive room for 2 at a 4 star hotel in Jamaica. I could never use my miles to book a flight anyhow, so I thought this was excellent value.
