Traffic is not bad depending on the time that you travel. I just came from the City and it only took 25 minutes by tollway. If you are travellling at 12 at night there should be no traffic. In the morning at 7AM there should also be no traffic. So please stay in the city, there is nothing to see at the airport. Even if you get in at midnight you can go for a bite to eat.
