I think that given your arrival/departure times I would opt for one of the airport hotels. I stayed at the Amari Airport when I was in Bangkok 3 years ago and it was very nice to have the hotel connected via sky-bridge to the airport terminal. Within 20 mins of arriving, I was checked into my room and getting some much needed rest. I remember that it was somewhere around $60-70/night which I had prepaid in the US and I just gave them a voucher at check-in. There isn't anything special about the hotel and it certainly won't be one of the highlights of your wedding/honeymoon but at least you won't arrive in Bali a zombie having spent 30-45 mins transferring each way between downtown BKK and the airport in the space of the 9 hrs that you're there. The hotel was generally 3+*. Good luck and have a great honeymoon.
