Why are you looking for a partner airline, when you can fly IAH-EWR-India (Delhi or Mumbai) all on UA?

The EWR-India will be on a 772 with a great chance for lie-flat seating by the time you fly.

Then again, you're about seven months ahead of even being able to book that flight. Nobody knows what routes or planes will be like that far in advance.
