You do not need a TMO hotspot. Any wifi connection should work. I'v literally sat in a public coffee shop in HCMC Vietnam or in a hotel in Singapore, with my BB connected to their wifi network and chat away for hours......same in Rome, found a hotel down the street with free wifi in the lobby. That was my daily morning and evening stop...
You are not going to find options which are cheap AND convenient AND hassle free. There are compromises to various options....again this has been a much discussed subject for years and no
one particular outstanding solution, just
several good options.
