Qatar does have much less congestion so that is a good option if EK fails to arrive as needed. Otherwise you really haven't much problem connecting to BSB from GRU anyway, do you? There are so many flights, and EK facilitates a connection, do they not?

I personally do not know since I have never missed a connection with EK. I have left quite late, but still arrived on time.
