It happens, and it happens relatively often. The more one flies, however, the more likely one is to encounter the scanner and/or a patdown, especially if one flies from certain airports and/or if one wears skirts etc. DTW is an airport which practices war on skirts, by the way.

This is a challenge because many infrequent fliers (and some luckly frequent fliers) then come here and ask 'why the fuss?'
