I sampled over 72 hours. But I am trying to say that even the same booking class fares fluctuate over time.

Booking class is to determine a range of fares, allocated capacity relative to the entire flight, priority in sequence and it's flexibility. How within each booking class the fares can still differ based of time of booking, promotions, manual adjustments and premium up pricing due to unexpected demand.

Let me use another example:

This summer Mrs GHT, myself, Mr GHT Senior and Mrs GHT Senior decided to go New York. I looked at the fare in February and it was $144 but the trip I wanted was $161 because there were 2 people occupying the seats (excluding 2 reserved for FAs).

Then over time the trip I wanted was stalemate, so the fare went back to $144 on that flight. Now suddenly I bought 4 tickets and it gave the system a heart attack..... the fare went up to $191......

But over the next week, no one bought anything so it went back down to $158 along with the other fares. The general trend of going from $144 to $158 on all flights was due to the shift in time (ie. closer to travel date).

Now... AC now does a promo to go against Porter.... and the fare is $85. Now of course I feel bad as I paid $50 more each way per seat per person, but I know after the promo it will go up again. And as seats get filled up, it will go up to $160-170 early 200s and last minute Tango Plus will cost $400-500.

Do I win? No...Do I lose? Not either
