Hello,
I'm new to London and have just been placed on a project where I will fly back and forth btw LHR and ORD. I am trying to decide whether it's worth it to invest in BA for their executive club vs. United. Just from a quick review of their site, it seems impossible to get upgrades no matter what tier you're at and harder than United to become Silver, Gold, etc. since they base tier points on ticket price.

Can someone advise as to whether there's more to their program that's not listed on the site? Like for silver, are there system wide upgrades or something?
